Alyssa bell

Alyssa is a musician’s wife, part-time picture taker, wanna-be professional writer, and mom to two wild little boys. She thrives on perpetual sunshine, funny impersonations, and veggie pizza. She loves to travel almost as much as she loves coming home. She is blessed to live next door to her parents in a small, renovated craftsman style home. The shared yard between both her, Jana, and Amber is what initially sparked the name The Space We Share.

Jana is a licensed counselor and full time “Jja-Ja” to her two grand babies. Despite being an empty nester, you’ll find that her house is rarely empty. She loves hosting gatherings, has a special knack for assembling charcuterie boards, and can usually be found Pinteresting her next renovation project. She is our resident matriarch and wealth of wisdom, as is evident in the blogs she writes.

She keeps busy by homeschooling her two beautiful daughters and chasing around her adopted little boy, Malachi . our heart for this space

Three years ago, we found ourselves in a very special season of life. We were all neighbors, both by happenstance and God’s sweet goodness. The name The Space We Share was birthed out of the literal shared space between our houses we so often found ourselves gathered in. As seasons passed, foster babies come and gone through Amber’s home, babies born, trips traveled, and many evenings spent around the fire pit or the farm table, laughing, praying, and communing, our heart for sharing truth amidst honest and real moments has been the thread of this blog. Now, dynamics are shifting, and we are losing a big chunk of our tribe as Amber and her family moves on to their next home. But one thing is certain, The Space We Share spills far beyond the confines of our little backyard. It’s not proximity that binds us, but love and conviction and life lived together.

Here, you will find three women sharing everyday moments as we navigate the good and the hard stuff. Our topics run the gamut of surviving early years with kiddos to home renovation projects to empowering truths so often lacking in today’s culture. Regardless the theme, there is a spot for you here, right in this space we share. We hope you walk away empowered to live a life filled with purpose, gratitude, and love.
